RASMUS Jensen is the latest Swindon rider to pledge his future to the reigning Premiership champions.

Dynamic Dane Jensen joins Jason Doyle and Troy Batchelor back at the Abbey for 2020 with more names to follow in the coming days.

And he’s confirmed he will only ride in the Premiership after turning his back on doubling-up at Championship level as he sets his sights on a Grand Prix place in 2021.

He said: “Why would you ride speedway if you didn’t aim to be in the Grand Prix? I always like to keep my goals just for me and my really close family and friends.

“Obviously everybody is in it for the money because it is our job. But it’s about racing. I never want to lose at anything, card games, bowling, I still want to win. I’m not at speedway for the money, that’s not where my head is. Racing is to win.”

And he admits his decision to stay with the CFS Filtration Robins was a simple one.

“I can’t say a bad thing about the club,” he said. “My decision to return was easy – Swindon has a good track, good track staff, great management and the team was good last season also.

“Myself, Jason (Doyle) and Troy (Batchelor) work well together, it’s a good mix. And we get on well outside the track too.

“Everything looks good, and from what I understand the plans are looking good also.

“I want to improve. I hope next year my starts will improve, though – no more coming from the back!”
