SWINDON Speedway Season Ticket holders will be able to watch Championship action at a reduced rate in 2020.

It promises to be an exciting year for the CFS Filtration Robins as the Premiership double Champions look to defend silverware in the top flight.

But the second tier is also shaping up to be ultra-competitive - and the Robins have joined forces with three southern clubs.

Anyone who purchases a Robins season ticket for 2020 will receive a £5 admission discount for meetings at Poole, Somerset and Eastbourne - with Pirates, Rebels and Eagles holders also receiving the same benefits at The Abbey Stadium.

Robins co-promoter Lee Kilby said: “This is a great initiative and one we as a club are happy to be a part of.

“Clubs working together is key in my opinion; not only does this offer our own season ticket holders an extra incentive, but we're more than happy to welcome season tickets from Somerset, Eastbourne and Poole to the Abbey.

“Last season we worked closely with Wolves, Belle Vue and Ipswich and introduced offers for travelling fans.

“The atmosphere at all meetings were definitely aided and improved by the presence of a greater number of travelling fans.

“The more of this supporter activity we can introduce the better as far as the Robins management are concerned.

“We have a great relationship with Debbie Hancock and Garry May (Somerset), Danny and Matt Ford (Poole) and Trevor Geer and Ian Jordan (Eastbourne) and we see this as a great shot in the arm for all our fans and the sport."

Full Swindon 2020 season ticket details are due to be confirmed in due course and will be available alongside new Double Champions merchandise at the Southbrook Inn (SN2 1HF) between 10am and 2pm on both Saturday 7th and Saturday 14th December.
