SWINDON new boy Jordan Stewart aims to end his Aussie Championship campaign on a high after struggling on his home track at Mildura on Thursday.

Aussie ace Stewart made his best start to a meeting this series with back-to-back second places at the iconic Olympic Park venue.

With a first semi-final place a realistic possibility, Stewart began to struggle and couldn’t rediscover his early meeting form - failing to score from his last three outings.

Stewart said: “It’s a disappointing result for me especially racing on my home circuit but I will learn from this and bounce back.

“It’s been a tough series and things just haven’t clicked at all for me. I have one round left on Saturday to hopefully end the series on a high.”

Reigning champion Max Fricke is in pole position to retain his title after back-to-back wins in Mildura and Undera. 11 points separate him and his closest rival, former World Champion Chris Holder.

The fourth and final round takes place in Gillman on Saturday (January 11).
